We had such a great time in Napa Valley visiting Bell Winery, then Jarvis and dining in Yountville. Pebble Beach wasnt far away after a stay in San Francisco as well. Also dined at Mustard Grill which is a MUST when in Napa.

Here below is some info on Redd Napa Valley restaurant (Great name ! )

Richard Reddington’s passion for food and wine was sparked by his travels throughout Europe as a young adult and fueled by his experiences working in some of the world’s best kitchens. As Executive Chef at Redd, Yountville’s highly anticipated new restaurant, he offers a contemporary interpretation of Wine Country cuisine, one that references his own classic French training and incorporates a variety of ethnic influences, reflecting his 15-year epicurean journey.

Reddington’s culinary training had an untraditional beginning. After graduating from college with a degree in business and traveling around Europe, he realized that his dream was not to enter the business world, but to do what he loved most – cooking – and decided that practical training was the way to go. He began his career working for Roland Passot at San Francisco's renowned La Folie in 1990, later moving to Postrio before heading east to David Burke's Park Avenue Café in New York City. A stint at Rubicon in San Francisco was followed by a French sojourn at the Michelin three-star Arpege and Le Moulin de Mougins with Roger Vergé, a prelude to working with Daniel Boulud at Restaurant Daniel in New York.

Returning to California, he helped open Spago Beverly Hills as Sous Chef, before joining Chapeau in San Francisco, where he was named ‘Rising Star’ by The San Francisco Chronicle’s Michael Bauer. He spent the next 18 months as Chef de Cuisine at Jardiniere. In 2000, he was drawn North to Napa Valley and began a four-year tenure as Executive Chef at the landmark Auberge du Soleil. There, he captured attention when he was voted ‘Best Rising Chef’ by San Francisco magazine in 2003. After leaving the Auberge in 2004, he took the reins at Masa’s in San Francisco, before taking the leap to launch his eponymous restaurant.

A graduate of Miami University in Ohio, Reddington is a native of Rochester, New York.

Guy Rebentisch // General Manager

For over 30 years, Los Angeles native Guy Rebentisch has been working diligently in the ever evolving restaurant business. He has left his impression on a number of restaurants over the years, always aspiring for the highest service standards and committed to creating exceptional experiences for his guests.

Rebentisch’s Los Angeles experience includes General Manager of Café Pinot, Director of Operations for Chaya Restaurant Group, and as General Manager of several noteworthy Napa Valley restaurants including Bouchon, Pinot Blanc, and Martini House.

After 11 years in Napa Valley, he teamed up with Chef Richard Reddington to open Redd as General Manager. His sense of leadership and graciousness is integral with making Redd the successful restaurant it is today.

Let's start with food. Most places that are good are a bit pricey but some can be done for less. Louie's Backyard is beautiful and you literaly sit by the Atlantic. expensive for dinner, but one option is to sit at the bar on the afterdeck, where I used to work and have lunch,11-2;30. Great atmosphere, more casual. You cannot eat dinner at the bar and the lunch menu is the same in the restaurant. Most of the seating is outside. if you sit at the bar, tell them I sent you.

On the other end of Duval, the Rooftop Café is fabulous. It is upstairs overlooking front street. No gulf view but the food is fantastic. The chef is Brendon Orr and you definitely need to ask for him and tell him we sent you. again, a bit expensive, but worth it. When I say expensive I mean apps are 10-15 and dinner runs 23-35, with daily specials.

A fun place for lunch is Blue Heaven in Bahama Village. the chickens run around your feet. Good cuban style food. medium prices. excellent margarita's. I have no connections but it is fun.

915 is a tapas restaurant so you can eat and spend as little or as much as you want. food is great, decent prices and good atmosphere as well. right on duval.

Next to that is Martin's. German flavor, same price range as rooftop and louie's. Martin is the chef/owner and his brother is Fritz who is the manager in the evening. tell them that paul and redd sent you.

You may not get anything special except treatment when you drop our names, but they will take good care of you.

On the cheaper side, Salsa Loca in Cowboy Bills is great Mexican food. Nancy is the owner. You will know her if you hear her cos she is from North Carolina and is a tiny lady with a big voice. Great lady! Also if you go in there, my very good friend Tom Luna bartends there in the evenings. ask for him and then give him a big fat kiss for me.

I recommend half shell raw bar for stone crab. Their prices are usually the best.

If you are interested in a drag show, which you should be if you are going to Key West, Aqua is my recommendation. 801 are good too, but Aqua has a nicer stage and room and not quite as smokey. try to go a night that "Inga" is performing but it doesn't matter. Almost everyone there knows me as that is where I did the singing bartender thing.

Any show at La te da is great. Just go in for a late drink and the piano bar downstairs has really good entertainment. Lot's of locals and visiters.

It will probably not be warm enough to snorkle or dive but if you want to get on the water see if the Wolf is sailing. that is really fun. the other company is the fury. they do all kinds of day sails.

The Hemingway house is pretty interesting if you are looking for touristy stuff but the Lighthouse, which is just across the street is more interesting in my opinion. You can climb to the top and see all around. Also if you go to the top of La Concha, which is the tallest hotel in KW, you can see all around too. THey built it and then put in height restrictions. There is a bar up there for sunset.

Sunset festival happens everyday in Mallory square over by the hilton. It is right on the water and they have all kinds of silly things like the cat trainer, the tight rope walker. They are busking for tips so take a few dollar bills to put in hats. It is a must do for your first trip.

I didn't really cover "straight" town, which is what we call the west end of Duval. Of course there is Sloppy Joes, Ricks, Captain Tony's, The Bull and Whistle, Fogerty's, Irish Kevins, etc. These are where all the tourists hang out, If that is the trip you are looking for. Loud, obnoxious drunk people. it will entertain you for a couple of hours. If you do that you should find out when a guy called YO Adrian is playing downstairs at Ricks. He is hilarious and a great singer, comedian. NOT FOR CHILDREN!!!

One more thing to do is the Butterfly Conservatory on East end of Duval. Excellent experience.

What fun to find a brand of beer - in Poland !!

Redd’s is a brand of fruit-flavoured beer that was launched in Poland by Kompania Piwowarska (part of SABMiller) in 2000 – initially it was available only in one Apple flavour (green can or bottle – later dubbed Redd’s Apple). Obviously Kompania Piwowarska noticed that many Polish consumers, particularly women, have a habit of adding some juice to soften the bitter taste of traditional beer. Therefore Redd’s was a perfect answer to consumer’s need for a beer without bitterness.

Now Redd’s enjoys the position of the market leader in the category of flavoured beer with over 50% market share and about 1.4% of the total beer market in Poland. The first TV campaigns of Redd’s communicated the exotic and foreign nature of the beer (the brand was adapted from South Africa). At the time, Redd’s pay-off said: Not a shadow of bitter taste.
